THE 2022 SIMPLY ITALIAN GREAT WINES TOUR RETURNS TO THE US IN THREE KEY MARKETS FOR ITALIAN WINE:

NEW YORK CITY, CHICAGO AND LOS ANGELES

Full day of Guided Tastings/Seminars presented by notable speakers along with the signature Walk Around Tasting for Press and Trade at Chelsea Square in New York, at Intercontinental Chicago Magnificent Mile in Chicago and at Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.

Miami, FL (October 21, 2022) – Simply Italian Great Wines US Tour returns for its annual trade tasting in exciting New York, thrilling Chicago and beautiful Los Angeles to showcase the highly anticipated Italian wine portfolios.

The I.E.M./I.E.E.M. tradeshows’ signature format – educational seminars and walk-around tasting – is the strength of the tour, created to promote Italian fine wines and establish key relationships with the trade. Marina Nedic, I.E.M./I.E.E.M.’s Managing Director explains: “We are delighted to bring the diversity of the great wines of Italy to key US markets once again. With over 90 wineries from all over Italy, wines of many different appellations and several educational masterclasses, Simply Italian provides a unique opportunity to taste the best of Italy and discover new favorites, while learning about the history and culture of the producing region”.


On Monday, October 24th, the tour debuts at Chelsea Square, part of the General Theological Seminary, New York City, capturing the U.S. market in one of the top five states responsible for nearly two thirds of Italian wine imports.  The program features a series of educational seminars and tastings presented by distinguished experts in their respective fields:

11:00AM – 12:00PM “Federdoc – Traceability & Regulation of Italian D.O.C. Wines: focus on Franciacorta DOCG (Franciacorta Heritage)” presented by Federdoc & Ricci Curbastro Winery and Riccardo Ricci Curbastro.

11:00PM – 12:00PM “Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, a great Italian red wine” presented by Consorzio Tutela Vini d’Abruzzo and Joe Campanale.  

12:30PM – 1:30PM “Vino Nobile di Montepulciano: The History Teller” presented by Consorzio Vino Nobile and Robin Kelley O’Connor.

12:30PM – 1:30PM “A taste of Oltrepò Pavese” presented by Consorzio Oltrepò Pavese and Susannah Gold.

2:00PM – 3:00PM “Collio: a small territory for great wines” presented by Consorzio Tutela Vini Collio D.O.C. and Shawn Dore.
