U.Vi.Ve (Unione Consorzi Vini Veneti DOC), the Consortium for all Veneto Wines Consortia returns for its annual holiday promotion United Wines of Veneto at Eataly in New York and Chicago in December.

Miami, FL (November 17, 2014) – U.Vi.Ve., Unione Consorzi Vini Veneti DOC, comes back to the U.S. for the second edition of their annual promo tour. During the month of December, Eataly celebrates the United Wines of Veneto in New York and Chicago through tastings at their wine shop and Eccellenze corner, classes at La Scuola di Eataly and special menus at all their restaurants.

The event will kick off with a cocktail reception at Anfora New York, the stylish wine bar in the West Village, where trade and media are invited to taste the variety of Veneto wines, from whites to reds, from sparkling to dessert wines. The following day the presidents of the eight Consortiums: Bardolino, Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore, Custoza, Lessini Durello, Lugana, Prosecco DOC, Soave and Valpolicella, will host a master class at "La Scuola Grande di Eataly", where press will get the opportunity to learn about these amazing wines. To inaugurate the promotion in Chicago, an exclusive dinner will take place at Spiaggia on December 3rd. A second master class for media will be presented by the Consortium at Eataly Chicago on December 4th.

"We are proud to present Veneto's Wines of Excellence in the U.S. yet again" states U.Vi.Ve's President Arturo Stocchetti. "Thanks to Eataly's cooperation our wines are not only introduced in the Big Apple but also in Chicago where the public has become more appreciative of our products. We decided to call the campaign "United Wines of Veneto" for consumers to understand our strong collaboration between world renowned Prosecco and Amarone producers along with a wide culture of smaller high quality wineries and working together to represent our traditions, character and characteristics."

Veneto, a land of ancient traditions tied to wine, is also Italy's foremost wine-producing region. U.Vi.Ve., Unione Consorzi Vini Veneti D.O.C., with 21 different consortium members all D.O.C. and D.O.C.G. certified, represents the wide variety of Veneto wines and their territory. Each consortium safeguards and promotes the quality and specificity of wine production, which varies year to year, and of the producers that are devoted to both tradition and innovation. The purpose of the promotion is to represent the region as a whole, the history and the unique wine-making traditions.
