PINOT GRIGIO DOC DELLE VENEZIE IN THE SPOTLIGHT AT MIAMI’S
21st ANNUAL SOUTH BEACHWINE & FOOD FESTIVAL®
A must-go for the Consortium, which presents its Pinot Grigio DOC in the tasting rooms of one of the most renowned wine and food events in the US
The DOC delle Venezie – the largest designation area in Italy, including the Pinot Grigio DOC production chain across three regions, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino – is back on the US wine and food scene, in person at last, and in grand style! The designation will sponsor one of the greatest and much-awaited trade events in the Country, designed to attract American high-spenders, which for 21 years now has spotlighted the most celebrated wines and spirit brands – the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One (SOBEWFF®).
From February 24 to 27, 2022, Miami’s world-famous beaches will be stormed once again by thousands of wine & food lovers, with hundreds of prestigious showcases and promotional initiatives to choose from. The event will feature delicacies cooked by famous chefs and prominent personalities of the international cooking scene, as well as numerous, globally-acclaimed wine and spirits brands. In short, the event’s mission is to: EAT. DRINK. EDUCATE.
Against this backdrop – graced by sunlight, the scent of the ocean, the joyful mood and the eagerness to be together again – the Pinot Grigio DOC delle Venezie will sponsor a number of activities to introduce its wines to the demanding South Beach public as a model of guaranteed quality, certified Made in Italy. The event attendees are informed and pay great attention to traceability and origin as part of their purchasing process. A fertile ground for the activities planned by the Pinot Grigio delle Venezie – exporting over 40% of the entire annual production to the US – which are aimed at familiarizing them with the implications and rules involved in the concept of Designation of Origin with respect to certification, safety and controls over the grapes and winemaking process. Moreover, the Festival’s diverse offering of premium fine dining opportunities will test the exceptional versatility of Pinot Grigio DOC delle Venezie, a perfect wine for social and food occasions, capable of accompanying countless dishes – whether typical or not – of the cornucopia of culinary traditions from around the world.
The dinner dates with Pinot Grigio delle Venezie at SOBEWFF® 2022 will begin on Friday, February 25, with an exclusive sold-out dinner at the renowned Ocean Social at the Eden Roc Miami Beach, hosted by award-winner and James Beard laureate Chef Rocco DiSpirito. Chef DiSpirito will treat his over 100 guests to a haute cuisine menu in pairing with the Designation’s wines. https://sobewff.org/eden-roc/
On the afternoon of Saturday, February 26, the DOC delle Venezie will be involved in a fascinating masterclass – guided by Brand Ambassador Regine Rousseau, a candidate for the Wine Enthusiast Wine Star Award 2020 and International Sommelier Guild Level 2 – with Pinot Grigio artfully paired with an exquisite selection of cheeses from Vinya Wine & Market, one of Miami’s best-known wine and liquor stores, where the event will be held. https://sobewff.org/vinya/
The South Beach adventure will end on Saturday evening, February 26, in lively Hallandale Beach with the eclectic and eagerly anticipated event Hallandale Beach Food & Groove: A Wine, Food and Art Experience presented by Consorzio DOC delle Venezie Pinot Grigio hosted by Nick DiGiovanni part of the Hallandale Beach Event Series. Among art installations, live music and lots of entertainment, the incredible versatility of Pinot Grigio DOC delle Venezie will accompany the culinary magic from a diversity of international cultures represented by the city’s best chefs. https://sobewff.org/groove/
